Blogger Goodwill Day

We all already know the power of blogs. So, I won’t waste your time and tell you how you have the power to control the public discourse, champion change, or be the bearer of goodwill. While our ideas cross languages, traverse distances, and clear cultural boundaries, so does the need to help others.

Darren Rowse of ProBlogger.net, recently, introduced the idea of Blogger Appreciation Day, a day where we show our appreciation for our favorite bloggers and blogging in general. But now it’s time to take this idea one step further and give back. I propose a Blogger Goodwill Day. A single day where all the bloggers post about their favorite charity, giving a voice to those that need it the most. The Monday after Thanksgiving is considered Cyber Monday, because shoppers flock online to shop, can you image if we built that buzz for charity? You have the ability to help those in need, at no cost to you; are you willing to do it?

One Economy Logo In the spirit Blogger Goodwill Day, I urge you to support One Economy, a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering technology and the skills to use it, to low-income people. The organization helps people build a resume and learn basic computing skills needed in this day and age. With your help, One Economy will be able to better the lives of people throughout the world.
