I agree, I’ve been using wordpress and it really seems to be the most polished both in the user experience and especially on the backend. Anyways, we utilized the search tool at http://www.eleganceindesign.com/domains.html which saved us a host of time on the search.

I wouldn’t say it’s bad but if you’re serious about blogging, and want to make money from it, you should do your own, self hosted.
Most will take your blog more seriously if you have a domain of your own, and its difficult to change later. Getting your readers to move from your blogger hosted blog, to a new domain can be difficult.
Overall it’s not too expensive to get your own domain and blog. $9.99 a year for the domain, and about $7 a month for the host, is not a big investment.

I have a question is it bad to create a blog with blogger.com because there its hosted on their site and you dont need to do all the above of finding a domain, hosting etc.
Please help me, thanks.

It’s not the only blogging platform, there are others like TypePad. But I really think it’s the best. There’s update really often, its secure, and very versatile. Also, there are a lot of plugins and addons available.
