Fear, Conversions, and Spam Emails

by Samir Balwani on May 21, 2008

Every once in a while I like to check the spam folder of my emails - just incase I missed anything worthwhile. Good thing I did otherwise I wouldn’t have ever found this wonderful gem. Looks like Spam E-mailers have learned to play off people’s fears, and are using the technique to increase how many people open their emails.

The best spam email I’ve gotten…

Caught in the Shower Spam Email
( Great, I better start closing my blinds and checking for cameras before I shower )

The Honorable Mentions…

Busted You Spam Email
(What did I do this time!?)

Moron Email
(That’s just really mean, no need to hurt my feelings)

I Look Stupid Spam Email
(Hopefully it’s not that YouTube video I put up the other day)

WTF Spam Email
(I don’t get it)

Got some funny spam? Leave a comment, email it to me, or tweet it. I read it all.
