Wednesdays always lead to interesting posts hitting the front page of digg, but what is going on with the algorithm change? Obviously, something is different; Rae Hoffman exclaimed in a tweet
“140 diggs, still upcoming: http://tinyurl.com/6hferh yet spacecraft story goes front page with 28 diggs…“.
She considers the possibility of potential editors, something I also have not ruled out,
“…but there is also hand manip as well - that is more what I was bitching about…”
I saw the phenomena occur again and was able to get a screenshot:

You’ll notice that a story with 28 votes has moved up to the Front Page while stories with over 100 votes still sit in the Upcoming Section.
So I ask, what’s going on Kevin? Will we hear anything more in-depth other than that fact that the algorithm changed… we noticed that.
Will you come out and say there are no editors? Will there ever be editors at digg?
