New Google Tools Released

Google Finance has rolled out and everyone has heard about it. Yet, there are a few new Google departments that have made new and innovative additions to the Google Suite. Here’s a list of things Google debuted that you may have missed*:

GTV - Google TV:

Google announced that they will be acquiring G4 from Comcast in their first move to the Television Industry. When asked if…

Mashable in Antartica

Twitter is a place where I find a lot of my inspiration. I saw this flash by on Twhirl - “mashable @adamhirsch re:upcoming events, the MashMeet Antarctica plans look good. putting Mashable stickers on *every* penguin will be tricky tho”. - and in my mind, I saw this:

Video Comments Are the Wave of the Future … NOT

Yes I’m against Video Comments, No I don’t think they will do amazing. TechCrunch’s Michael Arrington (who has invested in Seesmic) made a post about TechCrunch’s blogs now using “video comments, powered by Seesmic”. It uses a Wordpress Plugin to allow users to respond to blog posts via video.

Hank wrote about how YouTube’s monetization is not fairing as well as many had hoped or thought it was. By pointing to this article about YouTube’s low CPM rates you can see why he thought that.

In fact even Jeremy Schoemaker of Shoemoney.com who was just invited to the YouTube Partner Program stated that most…

Web 2.0 - Summed Up In a Video

I saw this video a long time ago and something about it always inspires me to do something good. As some of you know I’m working on a short paper on copyright law and how it is strangling the Internet. That for the Internet community to continue in leaps and bounds, ownership ideas will have to be loosened. I’ll be posting the paper soon, once…

WordPress 2.5 is Awesome!

We just upgraded to WordPress 2.5 and all I can say is, “Wow!”. The changes are great, the dashboard is amazing, and it’s so intuitive. For those of you unsure if you should upgrade, I highly recommend it.

Upgrading to 2.5 is real easy and in-fact there’s a plugin to make it even easier. WordPress Automatic Upgrade makes upgrading your WordPress platform as easy as simply…
